On the flip side
I've gotta follow up my last post with something a little more positive. Yesterday, I finally got to a Haitian beach for the first time since 2006! I didn't have my camera with me but here are two photos from almost exactly the same spot two years ago. The waters were quieter and the skies were a little bluer yesterday. It was lovely....and needed.

My daughter came to the US when she was 3yrs old, with not so much recollection of Haiti. When I try to convince her of the beauty of the place apart from the politics and the headlines news that so often portrayed a negative picture, it takes people like you that makes the convincing a little bit easier. Absolutely gorgeous picture, or a gorgeous place....
