US-style food politics

Enjoyed this NY Times story about candidates staff using info about voters' dietary preferences to microtarget campaigning.... confirming once again what we've seen in Haiti the last few days- food is political.

Hmm... I go for butter, white wine, olive oil, lattes, AND Chick-Fil-A. No wonder I don't know who to vote for! :)

Travel provided many interesting experiences, but perhaps the most useful lesson I learned was that I really had no proficiency for learning the thousands of characters of the written Chinese language.
